The Surry County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday the arrest of three Mount Airy residents following a raid at a Maple Drive home.

Officers executed a search warrant on the residence of Jeffrey Dale Clement on Halloween.

“The search was the result of a continuing investigation of trafficking methamphetamine in the Surry County and surrounding areas,” which was conducted jointly with the Mount Airy Police Department, Sheriff Graham Atkinson stated.

When officers approached the residence they located Jeffrey Clement and Everette Clement in the yard sawing a tree.

They searched Everette Clement and discovered six grams of methamphetamine in his front pocket that was individually bagged, according to the statement.

Detectives discovered 0.5 grams of methamphetamine inside the residence, Schedule IV Alprazolam pills, as well as several items of drug paraphernalia such as scales, smoking devices and plastic baggies.

“Also located during the search were several mason jars containing non-taxed paid liquor,” the sheriff said.
