Surry Community College will hold its annual Fall Student Art Show on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology, 630 S. Main St., Dobson.

The art show will feature work from Surry students enrolled in 2-D Design, Drawing I, Digital Photography and Ceramics classes. Community members are invited to attend the art show and interact with student artists present to discuss their work. All artwork will be left up in the Grand Hall for additional viewing during the college’s regular operating hours through January.

“It is a tremendous experience for our visual art students to see their artwork on display for the community. The students feel a sense of accomplishment,” said Anna-Olivia Sisk, one of SCC’s art instructors, in expressing the importance of formal showings for the development of Surry’s student artists.
